A few weeks ago, Team LFIS had the opportunity of being trained by 'Train Aid' to top up our knowledge of First Aid both in schools and in our offices. The training was fun, engaging and the team left feeling empowered and confident that they would know what to do in an emergency situation. Having recently rejoined the LFIS team, Joey quotes, 'the training was practical and hands on, we learned a lot whilst having great fun as a team!'.
As a team, we love building relationships with other local organisations and charities and we are always on the look out for experts who can offer us some training. We were also able to visit CAP (Christians Against Poverty) in Bradford to take part in some training on how we can look at funding the future of Leeds Faith in Schools. Again, this was a brilliantly informative and practical day where we left with a new sense of excitement for finding creative ways to expand our charity and plan for the journey ahead.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you feel you could train us in any area of our work from mentoring young people in schools to training us on presenting and communicating well.
