Courage
Jo reflects on her time spent with LFIS and the young people she has met
Over the past 10 months I have met such a variety of young people for all kinds of reasons, but the ones who I will remember the most are the ones who have had courage; courage to change, courage to open up and be honest, courage to face their fears. There are young people in our schools who are living in such difficult situations and most of us wouldn’t even have a clue, they’re carrying on with life as though what they had to deal with are the normal day to day things that we all face and I am continually humbled by their ability to keep on going.
Sadly my time is coming to an end with Leeds Faith in Schools and I want to say a huge thank you to the team and all the schools I have been in for the fantastic opportunity they have given me. I have learned so much and had my eyes opened to so many different worlds through the young people I have mentored.
