...than we could ask or imagine.

As the LFIS team, we started the year by taking a trip to the Schoolswork conference down in sunny Enfield. For me as a newcomer it was such a great introduction to schools work and I was particularly struck by the potential of such a thing when it’s in God’s hands. We were encouraged to dream big in terms of our hopes for what the year would bring. It’s so good to be reminded that God can (and does) do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine.

It got me thinking what dreaming big might mean for the mentoring we do in schools… Fallen out friendship groups reconciled and having a good old laugh together again? Kids from broken homes knowing and experiencing hope like never before? Those who struggle with anger feeling real peace? Young people who struggle with self esteem having self worth totally restored?
In a world which often lacks hope and says things will never change it’s amazing to be able to know we can’t out-dream God and that He is hope and restoration by definition! At LFIS we’re dreaming big with God for the young people we’ll be working with this year. Bring it on!
